Terms of service

These terms apply to merchants who install Mint Theme Sections ("the app"), made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

The service

The app adds ready-made sections to your theme as theme app blocks (testimonials, logo wall, icon features, image with text, banner, before/after slider, video hero, comparison table, countdown, stats, FAQ, call to action, steps and scrolling text), which you add and edit in Shopify's theme editor. The Free plan includes the first five sections; Pro includes every section and style presets. The app never changes your products or theme files. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a paid feature you rely on without notice.

Billing

Plans are managed on Shopify's plan page and billed by Shopify on your regular invoice in USD after the free trial. You can change or cancel your plan at any time on that page (a downgrade to Free takes effect at the end of the billing cycle you already paid for) or by uninstalling the app. Charges are handled entirely by Shopify under Shopify's terms.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you put in the sections (for example that testimonials are real and used with permission, that comparison and countdown content is accurate, and that you have the rights to the pictures and videos you use) and for checking how the sections look in your theme before publishing it.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the app available and secure, but it is provided "as is". The sections are rendered by your theme from data stored in your store, so they keep working while our admin service is unavailable. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 3 months before a claim.

Data processing addendum

The app is designed not to process personal data of your customers: it stores only your style setting, plan and store details. If any personal data is processed on your behalf, you are the controller and we are the processor, and we will:

  • process personal data only to provide the app's features, following your instructions given through the app's settings;
  • delete everything we hold for your store on Shopify's shop-redaction request (48 hours after uninstall), and at the latest 30 days after uninstall;
  • never sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models;
  • keep it confidential and limit access to authorised personnel;
  • encrypt it in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Cloudflare D1 encryption at rest);
  • use Cloudflare (hosting and database) and Shopify as our only sub-processors;
  • help you respond to data subject requests and notify you without undue delay of any personal data breach.

Changes

We will post changes to these terms here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
