Getting started
- Install Mint Theme Sections from the Shopify App Store. The app home shows a short setup checklist.
- Add a section: on the app's Sections page, choose the kind of page (home, product, collection, pages, blog, cart) and click Add to … under a section. The theme editor opens with the section ready to add; place it, fill in its text and pictures, then click Save. (Or in the theme editor: Add section → Apps → the section.)
- Edit it like your theme's own sections: every text, picture, link, colour, width and spacing is a setting in the theme editor's sidebar.
- Pro: choose a style on the app's Style page — Theme, Soft, Bold, Minimal or Dark, an accent colour and a corner radius. It applies to every Mint section at once.
The sections
- Testimonials (Free and Pro): Quotes from your customers with name, detail and photo, as a grid or a swipeable carousel.
- Logo wall (Free and Pro): Logos of press, partners or stockists in a tidy row, optionally greyscale and linked.
- Icon features (Free and Pro): Benefits with an icon, title and short text — shipping, returns, materials, support.
- Image with text (Free and Pro): A picture beside a heading, text and buttons, image left or right.
- Text banner (Free and Pro): A bold heading, text and buttons on a colour or picture background.
- Before/after slider (Pro): Two pictures with a draggable divider — results, restorations, edits.
- Video hero (Pro): A muted background video with your headline and buttons, with a pause button.
- Comparison table (Pro): A simple table of how you compare: ticks, crosses or short text per row.
- Countdown (Pro): Counts down to a real date you set; shows your message or hides when it ends.
- Stats row (Pro): Up to four numbers that matter, with a label each.
- FAQ (Pro): A simple list of questions and answers that open and close.
- Call to action (Pro): A highlighted card that sends shoppers to a page — newsletter sign-up, sale, guide.
- Steps (Pro): How it works in up to four numbered steps.
- Scrolling text (Pro): A slow ticker of short messages with a pause button; still for reduced motion.
Troubleshooting
A section shows a note in the theme editor and nothing on my store. It needs Pro and your store is on the Free plan. Choose Pro on the app's Plans page, or remove the section. The app home lists every Mint section in your published theme and marks these.
The countdown doesn't show. Enter the end as 2026-12-31 23:59 (your store's time zone) or with an offset like 2026-12-31 23:59 +01:00. After the end it shows your message, or hides itself if you chose that.
The video hero doesn't play. Background videos stay paused for shoppers who turned on "reduce motion" in their device settings, and some browsers block autoplay in power-saving mode; the picture you set is shown instead and the play button starts it.
Does the app change my theme files? No. Sections are theme app blocks; removing a section or uninstalling the app leaves no code in your theme.
Languages. The text you enter in a section is shown as you wrote it. Built-in labels (Previous, Next, Days, Hours…) come in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese (Brazil).
Plans
Free includes 5 sections (Testimonials, Logo wall, Icon features, Image with text, Text banner) with a small "Powered by" line. Pro is $4.99/month after a 7-day free trial and includes all 14 sections (adds Before/after slider, Video hero, Comparison table, Countdown, Stats row, FAQ, Call to action, Steps, Scrolling text), style presets with your accent colour and corner radius, and no "Powered by" line. Plans are managed on Shopify's plan page: open the app's Plans page and choose Choose a plan (or Manage plan). Shopify bills on your regular invoice; a move to Free takes effect at the end of the billing cycle you already paid for.
Privacy
See our privacy policy, security policy and data processing addendum. In short: the app stores no customer data, and the storefront makes no requests to our servers.
